Allison Williams
Allison Howell Williams (born April 13, 1988) is an American actor and producer. Because of her role in horror films Williams has been described as a horror queen by the media. Her first role was as Marnie in the comedy-drama series HBO's Girls (2012-17), for the role she received a Critics' Choice Award. Her breakout came from the part of Rose Armitage in the horror film Get Out (2017), which earned her nominations from the MTV Movie Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards among others. Her subsequent roles included film noirs like The Perfection (2018 and M3GAN 2022) and M3GAN 2022, both of which she wrote. Williams was raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, her father was former NBC Nightly News anchor and managing editor Brian Williams and TV producer Jane Gillan Stoddard. She also has an older brother. Williams has attended New Canaan Country School and Greenwich Academy. Then, she studied English as a student at Yale University. She was an active member of Morse College as well as the St. Elmo Secret Society. When she was in New Canaan, Williams worked in an Ralph Lauren outlet store. Williams was a member for four years of Just Add Water, an improv troupe. Williams also appeared in College Musical on YouTube. The show starred Sam Tsui and was directed by Kurt Hugo Schneider, both of whom attended Yale. She graduated in 2010 at Yale with a English degree.
